Winter Series Race #5 – Celebrating Women in Sailing
Hello Milltown Sailors,
This Saturday we race into something special Winter Series Race #5, dedicated to celebrating Women in Sailing as part of our March Women’s Month festivities.
We already have some women interested in getting out on the race course, and we would love to connect them with boats participating this weekend.
If you are racing on Saturday and are open to welcoming crew, please reach out to me and let me know:
-
Whether you’re able to take additional crew
-
How many spots you may have available
-
Your preferred skill level (newbie, some experience, race-ready, etc.)
We have a range of interested sailors from enthusiastic beginners with little experience to women with moderate experience who even own their own sailboats. It’s a fantastic opportunity to mentor, connect, and strengthen our sailing community while building depth on our race teams.
If you are a Milltown Sailing member and would like to crew, there is still time to send me an inquiry. I would love to help find you a spot on a boat!
This event is about more than a start line, it’s about visibility, encouragement, and creating space at the helm and on deck.
I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the incredible group of individuals at Milltown Sailing Association. Your openness, generosity, and inclusive spirit make this community truly special. I’m deeply grateful for the warm welcome and the support in celebrating women in sailing this month. It means more than you know.
Let’s make this Saturday windy, welcoming, and unforgettable.
See you on the water,
Pepper Wooters SV La Calavera
